County dispatched Box 54-1 at 13:10 for the reported accident with injuries at the intersection of Rt. 230 and Colebrook Road. Chief 54 (Shellenhamer) arrived with a two vehicle accident with two patients. Engine 54 arrived and assisted with patient care. Engine 54-1 arrived and secured the vehicles. Utility 54 provided traffic control.

Later in the evening county dispatched the Duty Officer to investigate an outside fire that was burning after dusk. Chief 54-2 (Kleinfelter) arrived and had county dispatch Engine 54-1 to extinguish the fire. Engine 1 arrived and after the direction of Chief 2 went off road towards the fire that was burning in a field. Engine 1 made it about 30 feet in before it lost traction and sunk in the soft ground. Tanker 54 arrived and luckily a nearby farmer came to the assistance with his tractor and pulled Engine 1 out of its predicament. After repositioning crews pulled a booster line and added 100' of forestry line to make it to the fire. Utility 54 provided lighting and Tanker 54 supplied additional water to Engine 1 and the box was cleared.
