Box 54-1 was dispatched at around 22:30 for a reported vehicle fire on 283 west bound 2 miles east of the Vine Street exit. Engine 54 went en route with 4 and county advises multiple calls reporting a working fire. Engine 54 arrived to find a passenger vehicle on the brim of the road with a working engine compartment fire. Engine crew pulled the trash line and extinguished the fire. Engine 54-1 crew arrived and assisted the engine crew with overhaul. Utility 54 set up for traffic control. Box placed in service.
