At 0735 this morning Engine 54 was dispatched to the intersection of Roundtop Rd/Waltonville Rd for an accident with injuries. Captain 54-1(Dupler) responded as the OIC and was advised that two vehicles collided head on in the "S" turns on Roundtop Rd and there was one female patient with a leg injury. Captain 54-1 arrived at 0745 to find a Plymouth Neon and a Honda Passport blocking the roadway and female driver with a compound leg fracture confined to the drivers seat of her vehicle. Engine 54(Captain Kandrac) arrived shortly after and stabilized the vehicle. Crews then removed the drivers side door of the Neon to gain patient access. The driver was extricated from the vehicle at 0810 and was transported to a local hospital by EMS. No other occupants were injured. Company 54 remained on scene for just under 1 hour.
