County dispatched company 54 to assist EMS at the Middletown reservoir to help extricate a large man with a fractured leg located back a walking trail next to a creek. Utility 54 arrived and backed down a small road that is used to access the reservoir. Personnel had to carry the individual in a stokes basket over rough terrain to the waiting Utility. We removed some equipment off of the rear roll out tray that is capable of holding 3000lbs and placed the patient in the stokes on the tray and drove him out to the ambulance that was waiting on the hard road. Patient was transferred from the tray on to the litter in the ambulance and the box was placed in service.
