Today crews started the day by responding to a reported smoke from the building on Roundtop Road. Crews investigated to find smoke from a furnace vent pipe and cleared. Next was a call to assist Middletown with a stove fire, Middletown held it to 1 Engine. County dispatched the company for a car fire on 283 west Bound. Chief 54-1 (Nissley) arrived to find a pick up that blew a transmission line and had caused a fire on the manifold. A passerby knocked the fire with a drychem extinguisher. Later in the day county dispatched the company for a crash at Deodate and Beagle Roads. Crews arrived to find a crash with no injuries. Then the Engine responded to assit Lower Swatara with a gas leak in the area of the CVS on West Harrisburg Pike.
